“I have no doubts that Reiki helped my speedy recovery from the severe car accident I had June of 2009.  Friends, family and doctors have expressed amazement over how fast I have progressed, after 22 fractures and 2 surgeries.  Most impressive was a hands-on Reiki session a week before I was due to see the spine surgeon about the timing for removing the medical halo which kept my broken neck stabilized.  It was customary to leave it in place for at least 3 months, but possible that it could be removed after 8 weeks.  During the long session, we all (Adam Claudia's husband also participated), concentrate their energy on my neck.  We decided that the halo WOULD come off at the day of the appointment, 7 weeks after the accident.  The physical therapists at the nursing home told the administration that it was impossible that the halo would come off that soon, and that therefore I would be hospitalized at least another 5 weeks....But Claudia took my hand and promised it would come off the day of the appointment.  This is exactly what happened.  The surgeon studied the x-rays for a long time, and sent me to take more to look at the ligaments.  Then declared  that "there was no good reason to leave the device on any longer" and unscrewed it off of my head......replacing with a collar which allowed much more mobility and enabled me to go home after two more weeks of physical therapy!” - Linda P. - Point Reyes Station, CA
